The U.S. House Oversight Committee has formed a task force to declassify critical federal secrets, focusing on events like 9/11, Epstein's client list, and various assassinations.
The U.S. House Oversight Committee has announced the establishment of a "Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets," which will work towards declassifying files related to significant historical events such as the 9/11 attacks, Jeffrey Epstein's client list, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, along with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, has appointed Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna from Florida to lead this new initiative. The task force will also look into files concerning the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as the origins of COVID-19.
Luna stated, "This will no longer be a task force that makes bold promises only to fade into irrelevance or send strongly worded letters. This will be a relentless pursuit of truth and transparency, and we will not stop until Americans have the answers they deserve."
The task force has already reached out to various government agencies, requesting pertinent documents related to these secrets. Letters have been sent to the Department of Defense and the CIA regarding 9/11 files, the Justice Department for Epstein’s records, and the NSA and CIA for information about the assassinations previously mentioned.
Additionally, documents pertaining to suspected unidentified submerged objects (USOs) will also be scrutinized.
This initiative follows an executive order by former President Donald Trump, which prompted the declassification of documents relating to the killings of JFK, RFK, and MLK.
Luna emphasized, "If we are to endure and thrive as a nation, we must restore trust through transparency. The American people must be trusted to think for themselves, to form their own judgments from the truth that they are entitled to know." She added, "We've been treated like children for too long and left in the dark by those we elected to serve us."
According to sources, the task force has been authorized to function for a duration of six months.
