Peel Regional Police have issued a statement regarding an attempted abduction that occurred in Brampton on November 22 at approximately 3:15 p.m. The victim was walking in the Williams Pkwy.-Murray St. area when a male suspect approached her.
The suspect engaged the victim in conversation and repeatedly asked her to accompany him. When she refused, a struggle broke out, during which the suspect allegedly threatened her with a firearm.
Fortunately, the victim was able to contact 911, prompting the suspect to flee the scene in a Black Hyundai Elantra.
The suspect is described as:
- Height: 5-foot-10
- Ethnicity: East Indian
- Accent: Punjabi
- Complexion: Dark
- Build: Slim
- Age: Approximately 25-28 years
- Hair: Short, black, curly
- Facial Hair: Short goatee
- Eyes: Brown
