In their third consecutive game, the Leafs were only able to score one goal against the visiting Minnesota Wild on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena, resulting in yet another regulation loss.
Over the past nine games, Toronto has faced significant struggles, losing six of those matchups, which has led to a drop from first place in the Atlantic Division. The team's current standing was further impacted when the Florida Panthers defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-0, bringing the Panthers to 63 points, while the Leafs sit at 62 points, despite having a game in hand.
