A 34-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing attack that occurred on Thursday night in the area near St. Clair Avenue West and Bathurst Street.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. when Toronto police responded to a call about a man with stab wounds. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries and promptly transported him to hospital.
According to police reports, the assailant approached the victim from behind and inflicted the stab wounds before fleeing the scene eastbound on St. Clair Avenue West.
On Saturday, authorities announced the arrest of the 34-year-old man who now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon.
The individual is set to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Sunday at 10 a.m.
