On a weekend that saw the club lose both new defenceman Will Bishop and Matthew Soto to upper body injuries, adding to the absence of injured forward Joey Willis, Kingston climbed on their bus homeward bound with four of six crucial points in the tight Eastern Conference standings.
Soto was injured on a check on Saturday night, while Bishop was injured in a scary incident that saw him thrown to the ice at the end of a fight with Brampton Steelheads' Gabriel Chiarot and violently strike his head on the ice. Chiarot slammed Bishop's head against the ice a second time, rendering him unconscious.
