Tourism Hits New High in Ancient City of Taizhou During Year of the Snake

The Ancient City of Taizhou has reported a surge in tourism during the Spring Festival, particularly from the first to the third day of the first lunar month, with over 600,000 visitors.
This impressive turnout has placed Taizhou at the top among 5A-level scenic spots in the country, highlighting its appeal as a premier tourist destination.
During the festivities, Taizhou hosted two significant events: the "Welcome the Spring with Five Blessings" Xingshan Gate Welcome Ceremony and the processional live-action performance titled "Waiting for You in the Millennium-old Ancient City."
The welcome ceremony revolved around Lady Qi celebrating the nine consecutive victories of the Qi Jia Army, gathering notable figures with ties to the city to share in the joyful New Year's celebration.
Additionally, the live-action performance featured a team led by Xiaobaihua Yue Opera actors presenting the celebrated Yue Opera "The Legend of the White Snake" at the East Lake Scenic Area, with songs including "Waiting for You for a Thousand Years" and "Ganoderma lucidum," creating a memorable cultural experience.
