Ridgetown Cubs and Scouts Excel at Annual Kub Kar Rally

The 1st Ridgetown Troop excelled at the annual Kub Kar/Dragster Rally, winning the overall team competition and multiple individual titles in Chatham.
The Cubs and Scouts from the 1st Ridgetown Troop demonstrated remarkable skill at the annual Kub Kar/Dragster Rally held at the W.I.S.H. Centre in Chatham.
The event took place on Saturday, January 25, and the 1st Ridgetown Troop triumphed by winning the overall team competition in the Kub Kar category, as well as six individual titles.
Participants crafted their own cars from kits to compete against other Cubs and Scouts from Chatham Troops 11 and 19, as well as the 1st Wabash.
Xavier Stephens earned the distinction of having the fastest car in the Kub Kar division, with teammate Brooklyn Clark finishing second and River Prestidge coming in fourth.
Cohen Jackson achieved the best finish in the event, while Elizabeth O'Rourke was the runner-up.
In the dragster category, Jaxon Krete from 1st Ridgetown was honoured for the best car originality, while Patrick O'Rourke was recognized for best tractor originality. Liam Molnar garnered praise for the best tractor design and Travis Clark for best experienced design.
Ethan Clark followed closely behind O'Rourke in tractor originality, and Nicky Heidt was the runner-up to Molnar in tractor design.
Additionally, four other members of the 1st Ridgetown secured second-place finishes.
Notably, Alex Frazee from 1st Ridgetown was second in the dragster car finish, with Forges Stephens as the runner-up in tractor finish, Nolan Doey in tractor stock, and Brianna Welford in experienced tractor.
In total, the rally saw participation from about 30 Cubs and 50 Scouts.
