London police responded to a single-vehicle collision near Colonel Talbot Road and Clayton Walk in southwest London's Lambeth area around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday. The details were shared in a statement issued on Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unoccupied, running vehicle with blood on the driver's side door and leading away from the vehicle. Following their investigations, police arrested an individual at a nearby address.
One of the passengers involved in the incident was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Cameron Allen, aged 20, faces several charges including impaired driving, impaired operation exceeding legal blood-alcohol levels, failing to remain at the scene of a crash, failing to report an accident, and having a blood-alcohol concentration above zero as a novice driver.
