Adam Larsson to Play 900th NHL Game with Seattle Kraken
As the Seattle Kraken gear up to host the Anaheim Ducks in the second half of a back-to-back, Adam Larsson is preparing to achieve a significant milestone with his 900th NHL game.
Larsson has a diverse career, having played with three teams since being drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 2011, where he was selected fourth overall. His time here included five seasons and 274 games, during which he recorded 69 points, scoring nine goals and providing 60 assists.
After five seasons with the Devils, he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers for Taylor Hall following the 2015-16 season. In Edmonton, Larsson participated in 329 games, earning 68 points through 16 goals and 52 assists over five seasons.
In the 2021 offseason, the Kraken selected Larsson from the Oilers in the expansion draft. In his first three seasons with Seattle, he has played 245 games and missed only one last season for the birth of his child. His point totals have improved to 76, featuring 20 goals and 56 assists.
During the 2024-25 season, Larsson has appeared in all 51 games so far, scoring three goals and earning nine assists for a total of 12 points. While he is currently experiencing a setback compared to previous seasons, there is ample opportunity to improve as the season progresses.
Larsson has proven to be a crucial asset for the Kraken, particularly after being paired with Vince Dunn. Earlier this offseason, he renewed his contract with Seattle for four years at an average annual value of $5.25 million, extending his tenure with the team until the 2028-29 season.
Congratulations to Adam Larsson on reaching his 900th game in the NHL!
