Support Grows for Bancroft Resident Fighting Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Chris Lawrence, a Bancroft resident diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, receives support from friends and community as they raise funds for his medical expenses through Go Fund Me, aiming for a goal of $30,000.
A resident of Bancroft, Chris Lawrence, described by his friend Kyle Gray as "a beloved friend, father and partner" is fighting for his life due to a diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer last spring. Gray says that Lawrence is "facing an incredibly challenging time right now and that his strength, courage and love for his family have never been more evident." A Go Fund Me page has been set up by Gray to help out Lawrence and his family and as of Feb. 1, it had raised $3,475 of its $30,000 goal. Gray contacted The Bancroft Times a couple of weeks ago to share Lawrence's story and his struggle against cancer.
