Toronto police have charged a man who was allegedly breaking into vehicles and pulled out a weapon when confronted by a citizen.
Officers were called to the Grampian Crescent and Aviemore Drive area on Wednesday, February 5, 202 at around 3:35 a.m.
Investigators say the suspect was breaking into multiple vehicles in the area before being confronted.
That's when police allege the suspect pulled out a weapon.
He then fled with an undisclosed amount of stolen property, according to police.
Officers found the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest. No injuries were reported.
Abdirshid Sheikh Mohammed, 55, of Toronto, is facing numerous charges including robbery with an offensive weapon, weapons dangerous, and carry concealed weapon.
