Mutiny Island Vodka is a unique spirit crafted at the Sion Distillery on Saint Croix in the Caribbean by chef Todd Manley. This new vodka incorporates an unexpected ingredient, breadfruit, to enhance its sustainability profile.
The creation of Mutiny Island Vodka is a partnership with several organisations, including the Trees That Feed Foundation and the Breadfruit Institute. This collaboration aims to utilise breadfruit in producing a premium vodka while promoting responsible farming practices. Notably, 100% of the production waste is repurposed to create nutrient-dense water suitable for agricultural use.
Reportedly, the vodka has flavour notes of citrus, melon, and green banana, culminating in a smooth floral finish. It features an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%. The vodka is available in 700ml bottles, retailing at a competitive price of 26.99 CAD.
