Josh Allen expresses disappointment after AFC Championship loss to Chiefs
Josh Allen expressed deep disappointment after the Buffalo Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, despite his strong performance.
Buffalo Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen was understandably crushed and at a loss for words after his team fell short yet again vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
Josh Allen had another excellent outing against his playoff Kryptonite, completing 22 pass attempts for 237 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in a 32-29 loss. But the Chiefs made just a few more plays on both sides of the ball to win their third straight conference championship, with the three-peat dream still very much alive.
Allen was visibly distraught and struggled to get the words out in the beginning of his post-game presser, per Matthew Bové of WKBW:
Unfortunately, the ending was just all too predictable for Josh Allen and the Bills: Play great for the first three and a half quarters, but fail to make the plays against the dynastic Kansas City Chiefs.
Josh Allen Isn't At Fault For Loss To Chiefs
Allen is the reason the Bills got this far in the first place with a shaky offensive line, a mediocre wide receiver room and a defense that was surprisingly inconsistent all season long.
It's easy to blame the loss on the quarterback, but the Bills wouldn't have been in this game without Allen.
