Costco Canada Issues Recall for No Sugar Company Product Due to Allergen Risk
Costco Canada is alerting buyers about a recall notice for a No Sugar Company product after receiving a report of an allergic reaction.
The recall notice issued Tuesday warns that two specific lots of the products are being recalled due to high levels of milk presence and says people who may be allergic or sensitive to the allergen should not consume the product.
"Although the product indicates it 'may contain milk' on the packaging, please ensure you do not have a health allergy to milk," the recall notice reads.
The recalled product is No Sugar Company's Shellz Dark Chocolately Peanut Butter Crunch sold in a box of 570 grams with the lot codes 1E255 and 2E255 and best before dates of March 11 2026.
The affected products were sold at Costco locations in Eastern Canada between Sept. 20 2024 and Jan. 26 2025, according to the notice. The notice does not specify which Eastern Canadian provinces the product was sold in.
Costco says that anyone who has the product can return it to a Costco location to obtain a full refund.
