Blades Face Disappointment but Stay Resilient After Weekend Losses
It's been a disappointing weekend in terms of results," said Blades head coach Dan DaSilva, whose team dropped a 6-3 decision to the Raiders on Friday in P.A.. "On Friday, I think we played a really solid last 40 and, tonight, some errors by some veteran players that you wouldn't expect and the bad bounce for the third one -- but, again, this is a resilient group and we fought back to tie it up. And, obviously, in overtime, anything can happen.
"It's a positive that it's a point (earned by the Blades) and we can back to we-get-better-everyday mentality this week and we take care of lessons and we move on."
Prince Albert has moved ahead of Saskatoon for top spot in the Western Hockey League's East Division. The Raiders improved to 25-15-3-0 and 53 points, good enough for second place in the Eastern Conference as the current East Division leader.
The Blades currently sit second in the East Division and sixth overall in the WHL's Eastern Conference with a 23-16-3-3 record and 52 points.
On Sunday, Rowan Calvert netted a pair of power play goals to lead Saskatoon, which held 1-0 and 2-1 leads earlier in the game.
