Joy Villa Makes Statement at Grammy Awards with DOGE Coin Dress and Red Hat
Joy Villa captivated audiences at the Grammy Awards with her DOGE coin themed dress and political statements, emphasizing freedom through cryptocurrency and her stance on immigration and faith.
Singer and songwriter Joy Villa, recognized for her provocative fashion choices, made a bold statement at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards while walking the red carpet.
Villa donned a gold dress adorned with images of the DOGE Shiba Inu dog meme and sported a red hat emblazoned with the phrase "The hat stays on."
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Villa remarked, "I was kind of a walking meme." She described herself as a MAGA supporter, emphasizing the connection between MAGA and cryptocurrency.
She elaborated, "Cryptocurrency represents freedom. We can disengage from the big banks. As artists, we can dictate our own financial independence."
The dress was designed by Andre Soriano, who also created Villa's notable Make America Great Again gown from the 2017 Grammys.
Villa, who has faced backlash and threats for her political stance, stated that her hat symbolizes courage, resilience, and vibrancy.
“I don’t worship Trump, but I worship Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior,” she expressed, emphasizing her purpose as an artist and her commitment to sharing her faith.
Villa declared, "America needs to bless God because the fight is not over yet. We got to stop aborting babies. We got to put prayer back in schools."
She also expressed her concerns regarding illegal immigration, stating, "It is a crime to come here illegally." Villa voiced criticism of actress Selena Gomez for her comments regarding Trump’s immigration policies, urging for stricter enforcement.
