BBC apologises to staff over Russell Brand complaints
The BBC has formally apologised to staff members who felt unable to voice concerns regarding Russell Brand's behaviour during his tenure at the corporation.
This apology was issued following the release of findings from an internal review concerning Brand's time as a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music from 2006 to 2008.
The investigation examined eight complaints in total, with two of these complaints being made while Brand was employed at the BBC.
One notable complaint involved Brand urinating into a cup during a Radio 2 broadcast, which was formally registered at the time. The BBC's report acknowledged that this incident was "not dealt with effectively".
