Frenchman linked to historic rapes under investigation for more attacks
Dominique Pelicot, a 72-year-old Frenchman, has been questioned regarding two additional assaults from the 1990s. Pelicot, who was convicted for drugging and raping his then wife Gisèle and orchestrating the abuse by numerous men over almost a decade, is currently under investigation for the alleged rape and murder of property agent Sophie Narme in Paris on 4 December 1991. He has denied these accusations.
Furthermore, investigators have also inquired about an attempted rape involving another young property agent, known by the pseudonym Marion, which occurred in a suburb of Paris on 11 May 1999. During his trial, Pelicot confessed to this offence after DNA evidence from blood found on Marion's shoe was matched to him.
