Secretary of State and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Discuss Defence and Energy Cooperation
Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a discussion with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys today, where they emphasised the enduring strength of the U.S.-Lithuania relationship.
Both officials agreed on the necessity of standing united to confront both regional and global threats. They delved into the importance of increasing Allied defence spending to effectively tackle these threats.
Additionally, they explored avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as defence and energy.
Secretary Rubio also extended his congratulations to Lithuania on its forthcoming desynchronisation from the Russia-controlled BRELL energy grid.
