James Segeyaro Shines in Nines Premier League for Legacy
Former NRL hooker James Segeyaro has showcased his trademark fancy footwork and agility during a stellar performance in the Nine's Premier League, leading to a try for his team, Legacy.
In a match against the Knuckle Dusters, Segeyaro displayed his remarkable skills by dancing past multiple defenders. He executed a clever grubber kick that found a teammate, allowing them to score in the second game of Sunday.
Joining Segeyaro in the Legacy lineup were former Broncos stars Alex Glenn and Anthony Milford, along with Corey Norman, Gerard Bealse, Jordan Kahu, Adam Blair, and Josh Hoffman.
The Knuckle Dusters responded with a quick try, featuring players such as Josh McGuire, Justin O'Neill, and Jarrod Wallace, but ultimately fell short, losing 14-4, with Milford confirming Legacy's victory.
Earlier in the day, the Port Moresby Vipers secured a narrow 6-4 victory against CMBT in the first Shield quarter-final. CMBT scored a late try against the run of play, but they failed to convert and equalise the scores.
