Senate Democrats Seek Clarification on DOGE Access to USAID Data
Senate Democrats are demanding answers following reports that Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) representatives accessed the main headquarters of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) American citizens' data and classified spaces.
The lawmakers expressed their concerns in a statement accompanying their letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday. They highlighted that the possible unauthorized access by DOGE representatives towards USAID, along with the subsequent dismissal of personnel from the agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance, "Compromises our National Security."
