Canadian Fan Chooses Chant Over Booing at Game
A Canadian fan at a game chose to chant for his country instead of booing, believing it was a more respectful response while expressing his emotions about the current situation.
During a recent game, a Canadian fan expressed his feelings towards the situation by opting to chant, "Canada," instead of booing. The fan, Chua, emphasized that he does not believe booing is appropriate in such circumstances.
"I have a bunch of American family and friends that live in the states... but I thought chanting, 'Canada,' would be a more appropriate stance," Chua stated, sporting his red Canada Basketball cap.
Chua also noted, "Usually I will stand. I've always stood during both anthems. I've taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we're feeling a little bitter about things."
