Manchester Clubs Explore Transfer Opportunities as Players Eye Moves
Sources indicate that Manchester United is intensifying its pursuit of Dorgu while also bracing for the possibility of Casemiro's departure. Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly close to acquiring a new center-back.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Mathys Tel, the young forward from Bayern Munich, is eager to leave the club this transfer window. Both Tel and Bayern Munich are currently evaluating potential transfer options. Sky Sports Deutschland mentions that the deal could manifest as a loan, a loan with an obligation to buy, or a permanent transfer. Chelsea and Lyon are among the clubs showing serious interest in the 19-year-old talent. Manchester United is also considering a move for Tel, given their high regard for him; however, they must first address the futures of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.
Additionally, Manchester City has made an offer to Juventus for midfielder Douglas Luiz, proposing an "expensive" loan deal. According to Nicolo Schira, Juventus responded by demanding the inclusion of an obligation to make the arrangement permanent if the transfer is to be approved for the 26-year-old player. Douglas Luiz was briefly part of Manchester City from 2017 to 2019, though he did not make any senior appearances for the club.
