Female college athletes Adriana McLamb and Sia Li'ili'i reacted positively to the House of Representatives passing a bill aimed at protecting women's sports. They also discussed their protest outside the NCAA convention.
On Tuesday, OutKick confirmed that President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order to keep biological men out of women's sports. This executive order is set to coincide with National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, a celebration of female athletes and their access to sports.
Trump has positioned fairness in women's sports as a central campaign issue, which contributed to his victory over former Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election in November.
In early January, a federal judge blocked the Biden administration's efforts to redefine sex in Title IX to include "gender identity." Following this, Trump's Department of Education instructed K-12 schools and higher learning institutions that Title IX protections are based on biological sex.
Trump expressed in December his intention to terminate what he termed "transgender lunacy," emphasizing his commitment to keeping men out of women's sports. "That will, likewise, be done on Day 1," he remarked at a convention in Arizona. He reiterated that under his administration, the official policy of the United States government would recognize only two genders: male and female.
While accepting the Republican nomination for president in July, Trump's stance on this issue was unequivocal: "We will not have men playing in women's sports, that will end immediately."
Additionally, he has publicly characterized the inclusion of trans athletes in women's sports as "ridiculous" during an appearance on Barstool Sports' "Bussin' with the Boys."
