Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Employees Arrested for Leaking Surveillance Footage
Two employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority were arrested due to their alleged involvement in leaking surveillance footage related to last week's deadly midair aircraft collision to CNN.
The staff members are accused of making an unauthorized copy of Airports Authority records and currently face charges of computer trespass, as reported by ABC News.
The collision occurred on Wednesday night between a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines passenger jet, resulting in the tragic deaths of all individuals aboard both aircraft, with wreckage landing in the Potomac River.
CNN managed to obtain exclusive videos last week that provided a closer look at the disastrous event, showing the helicopter approaching from the left side of the screen as the American Airlines flight was nearing the airport.
