Federal Employee Unions Sue Trump Administration Over Data Sharing with DOGE
Federal employee unions, the AFGE and SEIU, are taking legal action against the Trump administration in a bid to prevent the Treasury from disclosing confidential data to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk.
The lawsuit was filed in D.C. federal court on Monday and accuses Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent of allowing DOGE representatives access to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. This bureau is responsible for managing the U.S. government's accounting, central payment systems, and public debt.
