During a recent episode of their podcast "Pivot," tech journalist Kara Swisher and NYU professor Scott Galloway expressed their concerns over budget cuts related to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The DOGE is led by Elon Musk, who took to X to criticize Swisher and Galloway, labeling them as "cruel, mean and deceitful human beings" that pose a threat to young DOGE employees.
Swisher and Galloway suggested that Democratic governors should consider arresting DOGE employees, accusing the organization of attempting a coup. Swisher referred to the young professionals at DOGE as "children" and "arrogant little pr---s," questioning their qualifications.
Galloway echoed these sentiments, suggesting that they should identify DOGE employees so that governors could take actions against them. He expressed a belief that the actions of DOGE were illegal and likened the situation to an insurrection.
In response, Musk stated on X that Galloway and Swisher were threatening talented young software engineers, emphasizing their dedication to serving the American public despite facing challenges.
Meanwhile, a lawsuit has been filed by Democratic attorneys general from 19 states against the Trump administration concerning DOGE's access to sensitive financial data at the Treasury Department. New York Judge Paul Engelmayer has issued an order to prevent DOGE from accessing this data.
Musk continued to defend his team, criticizing Swisher and Galloway's behavior and urging respect for the work that DOGE aims to achieve.
