Dragon Ball GT Critiqued for Lack of Originality and Creator Involvement
Dragon Ball GT faces criticism for replicating the original series' tone, recycling villains, and lacking the involvement of creator Akira Toriyama, leading to a lesser quality than its predecessors.
Dragon Ball may be one of the best anime franchises in history, so iconic that it has become synonymous with anime itself. Starting with the original Dragon Ball, it spawned excellent sequels such as Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super. The latest addition, Dragon Ball Daima, once again places Goku front and centre. However, it is widely agreed that Dragon Ball GT is the least favourable entry in the series.
