"The facility's opening marks a major milestone for tennis enthusiasts and athletes of all ages, and excitingly, is now ready to host the Launceston International when it returns next month," Minister Duigan said.
"The Tasmanian Government is proud to have contributed $2 million towards this important redevelopment which will have wide reaching impacts for those involved in tennis across northern Tasmania."
Minister Duigan said the new facility is ace and will become the heart of tennis in the North.
"This newly upgraded Launceston Tennis, Community and Events centre will be a facility for local tennis players and clubs, a hub for major tennis events as well as being a multipurpose sport and community space," Minister Duigan said.
