Kuhnemann's Bowling Action Under ICC Scrutiny Following Sri Lanka Series Success
Matt Kuhnemann's bowling action is under investigation by the ICC after his significant performance in the Test series against Sri Lanka, where he was the top wicket-taker.
Spinner Matt Kuhnemann is facing scrutiny regarding his bowling action after a successful series in Sri Lanka where he played a key role in Australia’s whitewash.
Cricket Australia confirmed that the left-arm spinner was cited by the International Cricket Council (ICC) match officials following the completion of the second Test in Galle, which wrapped up on Sunday.
Kuhnemann was instrumental in Australia securing a 2-0 victory in the series, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets at an average of 17.18 in a series heavily influenced by spin bowling.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Cricket Australia said, "The Australian team was notified of the match officials' referral following the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle and will support Matt through the process of clearing this matter."
