Baby dies in hospital after being found unresponsive in Sydney home
A baby has tragically died in hospital after being found unresponsive at a suburban home in Sydney's outer west.
Several police and ambulance units rushed to the home on Goroka St in Whalan in the city's outer west about 10am following a "concern for welfare" report.
NSW Police found an infant unresponsive at the house, a police spokesman said.
Paramedics took the infant to hospital, where the infant passed away.
"An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has begun," the police said.
