US-China Trade War Impact on Liquefied Natural Gas and Tungsten
Liquefied natural gas and tungsten, a metal important to defense and energy sectors, are at the forefront of the US-China trade conflict.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump imposed a blanket 10% tariff on all Chinese imports, which led to a response from Beijing. The Chinese government instituted targeted measures, including export restrictions on tungsten and other minor metals such as molybdenum and tellurium.
China also implemented a 15% import tax on liquefied natural gas, coal, and a 10% levy on oil and agricultural equipment.
