Trump to Attend Super Bowl and Congratulates Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes
Gracie Hunt reacts to President Trump congratulating the Chiefs as he prepares to attend the Super Bowl, where Mahomes and the team aim for a historic third win.
Gracie Hunt appeared on OutKick's 'Gaines for Girls' podcast sharing her reaction to President Donald Trump congratulating the Kansas City Chiefs on their AFC title.
Donald Trump is set to become the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, where he will watch Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs attempt to make NFL history by winning a third consecutive Super Bowl.
Mahomes commented on Trump's attendance, saying, "It's always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president. Someone that is at the top position in our country."
When asked about who he expected would win the Super Bowl, Trump hinted at Mahomes' success with, "I don't want to say, but there's a certain quarterback that seems to be a pretty good winner."
While not naming Mahomes, Trump has shown admiration for both him and his wife Brittany recently. Mahomes acknowledged Trump's remarks, stating, "It's cool to hear that he's seen me play football and respects the game that I play."
Gracie Hunt expressed her excitement about Trump's comments on the podcast, saying, "It's pretty cool. It's pretty awesome. Sometimes, I just look at whoever I'm talking to and I'm like, 'Yeah, that just wasn't on my 2025 bingo card.'" Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce called Trump's presence an "honor," noting it makes the biggest game of his life even more special.
Mahomes has previously refrained from publicly endorsing any political candidate, emphasizing the importance of getting registered to vote and making informed decisions.
Brittany Mahomes stirred discussions in August after showing support for Trump on social media, which he acknowledged. Following the Chiefs' victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC championship, Trump congratulated the team through a post on Truth Social.
