Kendrick Lamar Dominates 2024 Grammys Amid Drake Diss Track Controversy
Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" has taken center stage in 2024 with major Grammy wins, overshadowing Drake's diss track attempts. Kendrick continues to gain accolades and recognition.
Kendrick Lamar and Drake's rap beef took over 2024, with their diss tracks stealing the spotlight. However, it’s Kendrick who is racking up the accolades.
Kendrick's "Not Like Us" has taken the world by storm, featuring wild lyrics and a music video that has garnered over 216 million views. The song continues to dominate radio stations, and Kendrick has been invited to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl, further solidifying the song's success.
This appreciation was on full display at the Grammys, where Kendrick received multiple nominations. He has already won three awards, including "Best Rap Song," "Best Music Video," and "Best Rap Performance." These wins were announced prior to the live show.
Although Kendrick was not present to accept the awards, mega-producer DJ Mustard represented him at the event.
Many congratulated Kendrick, but others noted the irony in his wins following Drake's diss track titled "Family Matters," which included the line, "Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now."
Ironically, while Drake mocked him, Kendrick did indeed receive three Grammys for "opening his mouth."
The internet quickly joined in the fun, with numerous jokes about the situation. Kendrick's influence was also referenced by Sean Lennon during his acceptance speech for a Grammy on his father's behalf, warning, "NEVER get into a rap battle with Kendrick Lamar."
Congratulations to Kendrick on his achievements, and we look forward to seeing him at the Super Bowl.
