De'Aaron Fox and Zach LaVine Lead NBA Teams Seeking Playoff Success
De'Aaron Fox and Zach LaVine are key players for their respective teams, the Kings and Bulls, as they aim for playoff success this season.
De'Aaron Fox, 27, has spent his entire career with the Sacramento Kings, where he ranks fourth in career points in the franchise's history. He played a crucial role in helping the Kings break a 16-year playoff drought during the 2022-23 season, earning All-NBA honors that year.
This season marks Fox's eighth in the league, during which he is averaging over 25 points per game, along with five rebounds and 6.2 assists.
The Kings are striving to maintain their playoff presence but faced setbacks last year, losing in the final play-in game. This season started off poorly, resulting in the firing of head coach Mike Brown in December.
On the other hand, Zach LaVine is having a comeback season with the Chicago Bulls. He is averaging 24.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists while achieving career highs of 51.1% shooting from the field and 44.6% from beyond the arc.
The 29-year-old LaVine is set to earn $46 million next year and has a $49 million player option for the 2026-27 season. He is the longest-tenured player on the Bulls, having been traded to Chicago from Minnesota before the 2017-18 season in a deal that sent Jimmy Butler to the Timberwolves.
