Qantas Restores In-Town Check-In Service in Hong Kong for Sydney and Melbourne Flights
Qantas has reinstated its In-Town Check-In service in Hong Kong, allowing passengers to check in luggage at stations and explore the city before their flights to Sydney and Melbourne.
Qantas passengers in Hong Kong bound for Sydney or Melbourne can now enjoy a hassle-free travel experience thanks to the return of the popular In-Town Check-In service. This service, previously halted due to Covid, allows travellers to check in their luggage at either Hong Kong Station or Kowloon Station, freeing them to explore the city without the burden of their bags.
Customers travelling on one of Qantas' daily flights to the two major Australian cities can take advantage of this convenient service. Once checked in, luggage is transported directly from the station to the aircraft on the Airport Express.
The In-Town Check-In service operates from 7am and is complimentary for Qantas customers using the Airport Express. With services departing approximately every 10 minutes and a travel time of about 24 minutes to Hong Kong Airport, passengers can maximise their time in the vibrant city.
"Whether it's enjoying the incredible Cantonese cuisine, riding the escalators through the Mid-Levels, or getting in that last bit of shopping in Mong Kok, there is so much to do and see in Hong Kong," said Nick McGlynn, Qantas Executive Vice President Asia.
Qantas, the first non-local Hong Kong carrier to offer this service, continues its long-standing operations in the region, having recently celebrated 75 years since its first flight between Sydney and Hong Kong.
