Comedian Tyler Fischer Sues Hollywood Over DEI Policies Claiming Discrimination
Comedian Tyler Fischer is suing Hollywood over alleged discrimination linked to DEI policies after being removed from roles. He claims to have evidence supporting his case and continues his career with a new special.
Comedian Tyler Fischer is taking action against Hollywood's casting culture with a lawsuit stemming from allegations that he was cut from acting roles due to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies.
Fischer, known for his appearances on "Gutfeld!" and his Fox Nation special titled "No Pardon Needed," shared his experiences in an interview with Fox News Digital, describing his situation as potentially the "clearest discrimination case" some experts have encountered.
"I was doing TV shows and acting and my career was growing in Hollywood. But these DEI policies, I was told explicitly, we have too many white guys," Fischer stated.
He continued, "Or you booked the job, but they said they need someone who's not a straight white guy. And that was happening for ten years until the last time it happened."
Fischer disclosed that he recorded a private conversation with a manager who claimed it was "company policy" to not hire "straight white guys." This recording is now part of the evidence for his ongoing lawsuit.
"I recorded the call and filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court three years ago. So, I've been fighting this stuff for ten years," he added.
Despite challenges during his career, Fischer is currently performing across the U.S. and has released a comedy special called "No Pardon Needed," which is exclusive to Fox Nation subscribers. The special, filmed at Joe Rogan's new club in Austin, TX, offers a satirical perspective on politics and culture, featuring Fischer's impersonations of various political figures.
Fischer explained that his case is in the discovery phase, and while he is unsure if it will go to trial, he feels confident due to the recorded evidence.
Tyler Fischer continues to gain popularity with his impressions and political commentary, contributing to his rising profile in the entertainment industry.
