comments on working from home spark outrage
The BBC has received complaints from hundreds of individuals expressing their dissatisfaction with remarks made by the former chief of M&S and Asda, Lord Rose, who claimed that working from home is "not proper work".
In an interview with Panorama, Lord Rose stated that home working contributes to the "general decline" of the UK economy and negatively impacts employee productivity.
Over 350 individuals, predominantly supporters of remote work, reached out to the BBC to share their experiences. Among them was Alba, 52, from Dorking, who is actively looking for a remote position. She stated, "We are not lazy. We don't want to golf all day."
