Despite missing Philadelphia's final regular-season game, Saquon Barkley is 101 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record. Throughout the playoffs, Barkley has accumulated a remarkable 442 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
To set the all-time single-season record, which includes playoff gains, Barkley requires just 30 rushing yards in the upcoming Super Bowl. The current record holder, Hall of Famer Terrell Davis, achieved a total of 2,476 rushing yards in the 1998 season with the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, spanning both regular season and playoffs.
In the voting for the prestigious award, Barkley received 35 out of 50 first-place votes. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson took home 12 first-place votes, while teammate Derrick Henry received one. Additionally, both Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Bills quarterback Josh Allen garnered one first-place vote each.
Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase finished third in the voting, despite not securing any first-place votes. Chase was a unanimous selection for All-Pro and achieved the receiving triple crown by leading the league with 127 receptions, 1,708 yards, and 17 touchdowns.
