LMFAO singer Redfoo has made his professional tennis debut at the age of 49.
The pop star faced off with Norway's Leyton Rivera at an ITF M15 tournament in Egypt on Wednesday.
Redfoo, competing under his real name Stefan Gordy, received a wildcard entry into the competition, according to reports.
The "Sexy And I Know It" star was a promising tennis player in his youth but opted for a career in music after sustaining a wrist injury during his teens.
Redfoo put up a decent fight in the hard-court contest, taking a game off the world No. 1299. However, he was ultimately unable to progress, losing 6-1, 6-0.
The LMFAO singer uploaded a short clip of a lengthy rally to his 540,000 Instagram fans, stating: "I lost the match but this was my best point. Good match and good luck Leyton."
Redfoo dated former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka between 2012 and 2014 and was courtside when she won the Australian Open in 2013.
He hit the big time in 2009 with the album "Party Rock" alongside his nephew Sky Blu.
Redfoo is the youngest son of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy and Nancy Leiviska. LMFAO achieved two No. 1 singles in the UK and were named the World's Best Group at the 2013 World Music Awards.
