Iris Law denies accusations of bad behaviour after a waitress claimed she was the 'nastiest' customer. Iris insists the allegations are false and distressing.
Jude Law's daughter Iris has responded to accusations of being a difficult customer after a waitress described her as the 'nastiest' she has ever served.
The 24-year-old model refuted claims that she caused a scene at a New York restaurant, insisting that she did not refuse to pay her bill in full.
Madison Tayt, the waitress, accused Ms Law, who recently showcased for Versace at Milan Fashion Week, of being a "mean spirited" individual who was uncooperative over her bill.
Ms Tayt alleged that Ms Law "started screaming and throwing a tantrum," claiming, "She didn't like our dessert section and had a meltdown."
The waitress further alleged that Ms Law would not pay for the entire check and made remarks about her father during the incident.
As Ms Tayt's allegations gained traction across social media platforms, Ms Law took to her own account to dismiss the claims as "literally a fan fiction story." She stated, "Guys come on! So, someone is saying that I got up in the middle of the meal and didn't pay and screamed and said 'Do you know who I am?' because I didn't like the dessert menu. That's kind of funny but it's completely made up."
Expressing her distress, Ms Law added, "It's 2am and I have literally been having a meltdown about this because now everyone thinks I'm horrible." She requested support, stating, "I literally didn't do this, and now everyone believes it."
Despite deleting the social media account where she posted her video, speculation continues online regarding the incident.
One user responded, critiquing the notion that Ms Law would make such a remark about her father, noting that he has always been well-mannered during service interactions.
This is not the first controversy involving the waitress, as she previously gained attention for expressing her displeasure over tips received from European diners.
The Mail on Sunday has reached out to both Ms Tayt and Ms Law for further comment.
