Small Aircraft Crashes Near Reagan National Airport
A small aircraft crashed near Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday night.
In a post on X, D.C. Fire and EMS reported that the aircraft had crashed into the Potomac River. Fireboats are currently on the scene responding to the incident.
As of now, it is unclear if there were any injuries resulting from the crash.
The airport will remain closed until 11 p.m. due to this aircraft emergency, as stated by the Federal Aviation Administration on its website.
All flights are currently under a ground stop as emergency personnel continue their response. Despite the closure of the runway, airport terminals are still open to the public.
