Julian Holloway, actor known for Carry On films and TV shows, passes away at 80

Julian Holloway, famed for his roles in eight Carry On films and several television series including The Sweeney and Doctor Who, has passed away at the age of 80.
His agents confirmed that Holloway succumbed to a brief illness at a Bournemouth hospital on 16 February, as reported by the Guardian.
Holloway was the son of My Fair Lady star Stanley Holloway and was known for his involvement in the beloved Carry On comedies, appearing in classics such as Carry On Camping and Carry On Up the Khyber.
Born in 1944, he trained at Rada before making his television debut in the 1962 sitcom Our Man Higgins. He shared the screen with memorable actors like Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey in the Carry On series, and had guest spots in popular shows such as Porridge and Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?
Sarah Douglas, known for her role in Superman, praised Holloway as "the wittiest of men" and remembered him as a dear friend.
Later in his career, Holloway relocated to the US, where he became a successful voice actor, notably lending his voice to 55 episodes of James Bond Jr, an animated series based on the classic franchise.
He also portrayed Siegfried Fischbacher in Father of the Pride and Prime Minister Almec in the long-standing animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Holloway is survived by his daughter, model and author Sophie Dahl, from his relationship with Tessa Dahl in 1976.
