Police Presence in Fort Payne Due to Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

The Fort Payne police department issued a statement on Wednesday evening regarding the significant law enforcement presence at Glenn Boulevard and the South Y.
In their post, they explained that multiple units from Etowah County along with State Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) were involved in tracking and pursuing a stolen vehicle.
The pursuit culminated in the vehicle being stopped near the South Y, specifically in front of the Dekalb Plaza.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area as the investigation is ongoing and efforts to clear the scene continue.
