Assurance of Quality Control in Auger Sampling and Drilling Results

This article outlines the quality assurance processes and controls surrounding auger sampling and Van Gogh drilling results, emphasizing the rigorous testing and analysis methods used.
The latest updates on property scale maps include auger samples and Van Gogh drilling results. To ensure analysis quality, samples were processed at FILAB Suriname, a Bureau Veritas Certified Laboratory based in Paramaribo, Suriname. This commercial laboratory operates under ISO 9001:2015 standards.
For analysis, samples are initially crushed to 75% passing through a 2.35 mm screen, riffle split at 700 g, and further pulverized to achieve 85% passing 88 µm. A 50 g fire assay is conducted on a 50 g aliquot with an Atomic Absorption (AA) finish.
For samples that exceed assay values of 5.0 grams per tonne (g/t), an additional cut from the original pulp is taken, which is then fire assayed using a gravimetric finish. Founders Metals implements a system of quality control by inserting blanks and certified reference standards throughout the sample sequence.
To uphold stringent quality assurance and quality control checks, external audits are conducted at ALS Global Laboratories (Geochemistry Division) located in Lima, Peru, which is accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. A secure chain of custody is maintained throughout the transport and storage of all samples.
Furthermore, drill intervals that contain visible gold are subjected to assaying through metallic screening. Rock chip samples collected from outcrop and bedrock are accordingly selective and may not fully represent the mineralization present in the project area.
